An Instrument of Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen
You can become an instrument of peace in any given moment of your life by deciding that you are not going to use your mind for anything other than peaceful thoughts. This may sound extreme to you when you take into consideration all the difficult people you have to deal with, your financial picture, the illness of a close relative, the inconsiderate boss you must face, the taxes you owe, as well as outrageous traffic delays, and on and on. Try taking a breather from your habit of continuously looking for occasions to be non-peaceful. Go to that quiet, serene peaceful place within you that is covered by the outer layers of your material life. It is here that you know what being an instrument of peace means. Here, your emphasis is on giving, rather than receiving, peace.

When you are an instrument of peace, you are not seeking anything, you are a peace provider. You do not seek peace by looking into the lives of others and wishing that they would change so that you could become more peaceful. Rather, you bring your own sense of calm to everyone you encounter. You do not go about viewing every circumstance of your life in terms of whether it meets with your standard of peace. Rather, you bring your peaceful countenance to the chaos you encounter and your presence soothes the outer turmoil. Even if the turmoil continues, you have the freedom to choose a peaceful thought, or to quietly remove yourself from the immediate scene. How do you do this? Repeat the words of St. Francis that appear above. Chaotic moments are times to remember that you will not gain your peace from anyone else and that you choose to bring peace to every life situation you encounter.

The most important moments for cultivating this awareness are when you find yourself right smack in the middle of a tumultuous exchange, when someone is argumentative, surly, or irrational and you sense yourself falling into the pandemonium. Usually, in such moments your inclination is to blame all of the external forces for your absence of peace. Begin to look at these situations in a totally new way, one that will help you not only become a delivery person of calmness, but will make you a more reliable and steadfast instrument of peace.

What is Meditation?

What is Meditation?
I have been participating in the Chopra Center’s 21 Day Meditation Challenge with Deepak Chopra. This is not my first experience with him and I dare say it will not be my last.
The first go around the focus was on LOVE, love of self and love of others. I was sad when it was over because it had become an integral part of my day and I felt such peace & tranquility as a result of doing the practices. I certainly need to focus on what I learned during the challenge!
This time the focus is on ABUNDANCE. Each day we have a centering thought to focus upon. For example, Day 2’s thought is, “I create my personal abundance from an infinite source.”. The mantra for that day was Aham Brahmasmi (Sanskrit)
The core of my being is the ultimate reality, the root and ground of the universe, the source of all that exists.(English)

Deepak Defines Meditation – Everyone thinks that the purpose of meditation is to handle stress, to tune out, to get away from it all. While that’s partially true, the real purpose of meditation is actually to tune in, not to get away from it all, but to get in touch with it all. Not to just de-stress, but to find that peace within, the peace that spiritual traditions talk about that passes all understanding. So, meditation is a way to get in the space between your thoughts. You have a thought here, a thought here, and there’s little space between every thought.

According to wisdom traditions, this space between the thought is the window, is the corridor, is the vortex to the infinite mind – the mystery that some people call the spirit or God. We don’t have to use those terms, but it’s your core consciousness. And the more we learn about this space between thoughts, we find certain things to be true of it:

  • It’s a field of infinite possibilities – infinite possibilities, pure potentiality.
  • Everything is connected to everything else.
  • It’s a space of infinite creativity, infinite imagination.
  • It is a place where there is something called observer effect, or the power of intention, which means intention is very powerful when brought to this space and it orchestrates its own fulfillment – what people call the law of attraction – so those are wonderful qualities of your own spirit.

In meditation, we get into this space so we find ourselves infinite possibilities, infinite correlation, infinite creativity, infinite imagination, and infinite power of intention. That’s what meditation is really about. One of the benefits is how good you feel when you have finished.

Where to Meditate

If you are doing guided meditations, you can plug in, close your eyes, and go within in any safe place you choose where you will not be disturbed. Once you become accustomed to meditating, you can do it anywhere and I do mean anywhere. I have gone into meditation of public transportation. The people around me may think I am asleep, but I am fully aware fo my surroundings, while going deeper into myself. People have commented to me that there is a peace about me that they couldn’t put their finger on until they saw me meditate.

When to Meditate

Morning and evening coincide with our body’s quieter rhythms. Our body knows how to be still; we just have to give it opportunity. Studies show that routines begun in the morning last the longest, but any time you look forward to meditating is the right time. This goes along with the Ayurvedic medicinal philosophy of our body’s rhythms. My experience is that I need to be up for at least a half hour to an hour before I can meditate. Some people do it upon rising in the morning. I think it is important to discover your own bodies rhythms.

Body Position

Being comfortable is most important. It is preferable to sit up straight on the floor or on a chair to help cultivate alertness, but if you are ill or need to lie down, that is fine. The mind has been conditioned to sleep when the body is lying down so you may feel sleepier. Your hands can relax on your lap, palms up or any way that you feel most open.

Thoughts

Thoughts will inevitably drift in and dance around your mind, but that’s normal. Don’t try to do anything with them – let them be. If you find yourself thinking about what’s passing through your mind, just return to focusing your awareness on the mantra or your breath – you will soon slip into the space between thoughts. I have also been instructed by others who have been meditating for a long time that when thoughts occur we are to simply observe them & let them pass. Do not dwell on the thought or try to come to a resolution regarding the thought. Let it pass like a cloud in the sky.

Breath

When we pay attention to our breath, we are in the present moment. In an unforced, natural rhythm, allow your breath to flow in and out, easily and effortlessly. It is important to use proper breathing. For instance, does your diaphram fill with air or are you shallow breathing with your chest. It took me a little bit to remind myself to breath as babies do, with the diaphram.

Meditation Length

The effects of meditation are cumulative, and setting aside as little as 15 minutes a day to retreat and rejuvenate is beneficial. Many schools of meditation prescribe 30 minutes of meditation twice a day, and as your meditation practice evolves, you can extend your time. It’s better to spend just a few minutes meditating every day rather than meditating for an hour a week. I have found that once I get into a deep meditation I am loathe for it to end! It feels so good to sit in nothingness sometimes, especially when you have a busy, hectic life.

The Five Things That Can Happen During Meditation

During meditation, five things can happen:

  1. We can experience thoughts.
  2. We can mentally repeat the mantra.
  3. We can have thoughts and repeat the mantra at the same time. If this happens to you, place greater attention on the mantra.
  4. Our thoughts and the mantra can cancel each other out, and we can slip into that place of stillness between our thoughts, the “gap.”
  5. We can fall asleep. If you fall asleep, when you awaken and if time permits, allow yourself about five or ten minutes to complete your meditation.

MoolaMantra

Om
Sat Chit Ananda Parabrahma
Purushothama Paramatma
Sri Bhagavathi Sametha
Sri Bhagavathe Namaha

Translation:
Oh Divine Force, Spirit of All Creation,
Highest Personality,
Divine Presence, manifest in every living being.
Supreme Soul manifested as the Divine Mother
and as the Divine Father.

The Peace which passeth understanding.

This mantra evokes the living God, asking protection and freedom from all sorrow and suffering. It is a prayer that adores the great creator and liberator, who out of love and compassion manifests, to protect us, in an earthly form. This Moolamantra has given great peace and joy to people all over the world, who have chanted, or even listened to it. It has the power to transport ones mind to the state of causeless love and limitless joy. The calmness that the mantra can give is to be experienced, not spoken about. Dear reader, here is the key with which any door to spiritual treasure could be opened. A tool which can be used to achieve all desires. A medicine which cures all ills. The nectar that can set man free! All auspiciousness and serenity is yours simply by chanting or listening to this magnificent Moolamantra.

Whenever you chant the Moolamantra even without knowing the meaning of it, that itself carries power. But when you know the meaning and chant with that feeling in your heart then the energy would flow million times more powerful. Therefore it is essential to know the meaning of the Mantra when you use it.

The Mantra is like calling a name. Just like when you call a person he comes and makes you feel his presence, the same manner when you chant this mantra, the supreme energy manifests everywhere around you. As the Universe is Omnipresent, the supreme energy can manifest anywhere and any time. It is also very important to know that the invocation with all humility, respect and with great necessity makes the presence stronger.

Simplified meaning of the moola mantra

Om – We are calling on the highest energy, of all there is

Sat – The formless

Chit – Consciousness of the universe

Ananda- Pure love, bliss and joy

Para brahma –The supreme creator

Purushothama -Who has incarnated in human form to help guide mankind

Paramatma -Who comes to me in my heart, and becomes my inner voice whenever I ask

Sri Bhagavati – The divine mother, the power aspect of creation

Same tha- Together within

Sri Bhagavate -The Father of creation which is unchangeable and permanent

Namaha- I thank you and acknowledge this presance in my life. I ask for your guidance at all times

(the above simpilified version was supplied by Felicity Barrington of Canada)

 Full Meaning

Om Om has 100 different meanings. It is said ‘In the beginning was the Supreme word and the word created every thing. That word is Om’. If you are meditating in silence deeply, you can hear the sound Om within. The whole creation emerged from the sound Om. It is the primordial sound or the Universal sound by which the whole universe vibrates. Om also means inviting the higher energy. This divine sound has the power to create, sustain and destroy, giving life and movement to all that exist.
Sat Chit Ananda
Sat The all penetrating existence that is formless, shapeless, omnipresent, attribute less, and quality less aspect of the Universe. It is the Un manifest. It is experienced as emptiness of the Universe. We could say it is the body of the Universe that is static. Every thing that has a form and that can be sensed, evolved out of this Un manifest. It is so subtle that it is beyond all perceptions. It can only be seen when it has become gross and has taken form. We are in the Universe and the Universe is in us. We are the effect and Universe is the cause and the cause manifests itself as the effect.
Chit The Pure Consciousness of the Universe that is infinite, omni-present manifesting power of the Universe. Out of this is evolved everything that we call Dynamic energy or force. It can manifest in any form or shape. It is the consciousness manifesting as motion, as gravitation, as magnetism, etc. It is also manifesting as the actions of the body, as thought force. It is the Supreme Spirit.
Ananda Bliss, love and friendship nature of the Universe. When you experience either the Supreme Energy in this Creation (Sat) and become one with the Existence or experience the aspect of Pure Consciousness (Chit), you enter into a state of Divine Bliss and eternal happiness (Ananda). This is the primordial characteristic of the Universe, which is the greatest and most profound state of ecstasy that you can ever experience when you relate with your higher Consciousness.
Parabrahma The Supreme Being in his Absolute aspect; one who is beyond space and time. It is the essence of the Universe that is with form and without form. It is the Supreme creator.
Purushothama This has different meanings. Purusha means soul and Uthama means the supreme, the Supreme spirit. It also means the supreme energy of force guiding us from the highest world. Purusha also means Man, and Purushothama is the energy that incarnates as an Avatar to help and guide Mankind and relate closely to the beloved Creation.
Paramatma The supreme inner energy that is immanent in every creature and in all beings, living and non-living. It’s the indweller or the Antaryamin who resides formless or in any form desired. It’s the force that can come to you whenever you want and wherever you want to guide and help you.
Sri Bhagavathi The female aspect, which is characterized as the Supreme Intelligence in action, the Power (The Shakti). It is referred to the Mother Earth (Divine Mother) aspect of the creation.
Sametha Together or in communion with.
Sri Bhagavathe The Male aspect of the Creation, which is unchangeable and permanent.
Namaha Salutations or prostrations to the Universe that is Om and also has the qualities of Sat Chit Ananda, that is omnipresent, unchangeable and changeable at the same time, the supreme spirit in a human form and formless, the indweller that can guide and help in the feminine and masculine forms with the supreme intelligence. I seek your presence and guidance all the time.

God is a Woman?

First of all, I was brought up always to think of God as a woman. However, God is the total mind which generates, organizes and delivers. God stands for generation, organization and delivery. Therefore, it is more representative of the female energy in the universe. In many cultures, it is recognized as goddess energy. Goddess energy and intelligence is wholistic, wise, nourishing, intuitive, contextual, relational, does not have a win/lose orientation and does not believe in linear cause and effect. Male energy and intelligence is linear, has win/lose orientation and rules through conquest and subjugation. Both were necessary in a certain time of our evolutionary history.

The male intelligence protected us from predators and gave rise to the flight/fright response. We learned either to run or to fight. That same response has made us the most dangerous predator on Planet Earth, and unless we quickly embrace the eternal feminine in us as a society and a civilization, we risk our own extinction and will continue to give birth to a legacy of hatred, war, terrorism, predation, conquest, subjugation and ecological devastation. The Goddess must return. ~ Deepak Chopra

♥ The Ascended Master Akasha :

Today I wish to introduce a new idea to you. It is part of the Divine Plan. It is something that you agreed upon and that as you entered upon the great path of resurrection you would enter into a conscious daily conversation with your I AM Presence that is your true great God Self.

These conversations don’t have to be long but I do encourage you to start writing some letters to your Presence, using a journal and you write one page. The whole idea is to enter into a daily dialogue with your Presence and be able to chart what unfolds so that you can start charting the difference that it is making.

I say to each of you, as long as you do not succumb to the appearance side of life and teach yourself that in all things there is always solution and to make that such a sovereign attitude, unbreakable in your being. To all things that appear in the world and that appear in people’s lives there is always solution.

Start talking to your Presence a little bit more strongly, more intimately, more personally and bring to the Presence that which you face each day.

Letters to the Presence can be a wonderful experience where you are communing:

“Oh Beloved I AM, I just love to greet you. You are my true glorious God Self. Oh Beloved I AM, come forth and express your Presence through my joy. Express your Presence through the intelligence of my mind. Come forth and express Thy Will through my feeling side of life. As I go on about my daily activities, Beloved I AM that I am, I seek not to do one thing without being certain that Thy Presence is expressing through my mind, my thoughts, my feelings, my actions, my decisions, my desires, my hopes, dreams, my aspirations. I look to you Beloved I AM, Infinite and Divine Consciousness, expressing through my being and world and in all that I am seeking to accomplish.

And where there are challenges, Mighty I AM Presence, I look to you. I look to you for a solution here. And when I enter out into the world, when I’m working alongside others and there are challenges that rise up or disagreements or arguments, let me remember that Thy Presence abides in everyone else’s heart whether they know it or not. I know it and that’s the difference; I know it. | Track 18 | And it is no longer acceptable to me when I am out working in the world not to bring your presence into everything that I am doing.

I am ready for miracles. I am ready to observe your Presence being the solution to every problem, to every appearance, to every disagreement, whatever that is, I just love to look to you, Beloved I AM, to come forth and be the revelation, to be the answer. Connect me at all times with the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Offer Thy guiding Presence. I wish to come to that place that I know that when I am thinking I am thinking constructively; that when I am thinking there is a vein of Higher Intelligence that is expressing through my thoughts, through my intuitions, through my field of resonance and sensitivity.

In my Resurrection up into Thy glorious Presence, I offer to you that which are factors of resonance, intuition, sensitivity, to be that which is taken up by you. And Beloved I AM, when I am out in the world make sure that I am shielded, that I never take on the discord that is generated by others. Seal my in Thy great Cosmic Tube of Light that makes me invisible, invincible to the discord that yet remains in the outer world.

Oh Beloved I AM, keep me ahead of time constantly aware of all that I might face and always, always, always send forth Thy Presence out in front of me. Beloved I AM, keep me mindful and in deep comprehension of the words of the prophet, ‘There can be a Presence that goeth before me and doeth all things’.

Oh Beloved I AM, I know that Thy jewel abides within my heart and the nature of your expression is Perfection. Beloved I AM, I have heard that Akasha will decree from her temples that you now begin to unleash your Presence, your Power and Perfection from Thy great God centre within and that I am in this year of 2011 to call upon you, ‘Beloved I AM inside me, come forth and RELEASE, UNLEASH, TRANSLATE, INTERPRET your Perfection.’ I understand what this means. I am acknowledging Thy Presence within. I know that your Presence is Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Omniscience, All-Knowing, All-Loving, everywhere present, Infinite Perfection.

You are awake, in fact, it is your presence inside my heart that has awakened me and you are awake. And by my efforts, by all the meditations in the past, every time I’ve turned my attention within, every time I’ve acknowledged, every time I have decreed, your Presence has grown within me, awake and active, and now your Presence, in this year, 2011, the first year of our stepping onto the path of resurrection, the next great activity is to unleash Thy Presence, Thy Power throughout my being and world.

How will this occur? Well Beloved I AM, my Ascended Master teachers are reminding me that not even you, nothing can get into my outer world of form, of experience, of substance; nothing can get into my outer world including you, my own Beloved I Am Presence, without that first abiding inside my consciousness. So when I say to you, Beloved I AM, I acknowledge that you are awake, I acknowledge that you are active and I am using my free will, I am speaking to you, my own great God Self to UNLEASH the power of your Perfection. INTERPRET and TRANSLATE your Perfection through my consciousness. And it is through this great activity that you will unleash the Christ I AM ultimately as the only acting activity within my consciousness.

Beloved I Am, in these letters that I am writing to you each day, Akasha and Asun and many of the Ascended Host are coming forth and teaching us in these end days. Akasha suggests we use this phrase, ‘Beloved I AM within my heart, come forth and unleash, interpret and translate your Perfection into and through my consciousness.’ Do I have an understanding of this? Oh Beloved I AM, let me try because I understand that to have that understanding inside me, it can then unfold outside of me.

I have a consciousness and I have a much greater understanding today of consciousness than I had yesterday. I understand that consciousness is infinite, yet we have not experienced the infinite nature of our consciousness because we, as human beings, fell into a deep dream, a nightmare, and dreamed the tree of knowledge of good and evil. In this, we as creator beings, created something that never existed in our consciousness before we ever came to the Earth.

We, as creator beings, used your Power, Beloved I AM, as creator beings to dream opposites, to dream duality and to dream the experience of fear. I understand now. I am awake. I understand that fear has contracted, limited and placed my consciousness in a box of belief systems fostered by a belief in two powers. In my process of awakening, Beloved I AM, I have discovered that you can offer me the Sacred Fire, and beyond you, I can go to the Great Ones and the angels to get that Sacred Fire to sweep into my being and world to begin, by my command, to take that fear right out of my being and world; right out of my consciousness so that my consciousness can begin to do what it was intended to do – expand and once again be infinite.

Oh Beloved I AM, in these days of resurrection I am having great epiphany. I am having great awakening. I am leaning upon those mighty words, ‘I AM here, I AM there, I AM everywhere’. This ‘I’ that speaks, this is my True Self. This is you speaking and this mighty statement reveals that I AM is consciousness and the only way this mighty statement can be and be fulfilled and experienced is because I AM is Infinite Consciousness; therefore there is no place that your consciousness, that I am an individualization of, is not present. Aahh . . it feels good to awaken and to be aware of these things. Yet Beloved Presence in the letters that I am writing to you each day . .”

And by now this might be 4/5 letters; you only have to write a page but my idea here is that this, being part of the Divine Plan, that you would start writing a letter to the Presence each day and tomorrow you would pick that up and continue your letter. Do you understand? There is an unfoldment here dear hearts.

And so as I continue to write to you my Beloved Presence. I’m really interested in comprehending, in understanding the words that Akasha seems to use with purpose. She is inviting us to acknowledge your Presence but she’s also encouraging us to use certain phrases and terms that are new. Akasha is saying for us to call upon Thy Presence and Power to unleash itself and interpret your Perfection through our consciousness. I’d like to examine this phrase with you, Beloved I AM, to make sure I understand inside me what this means so that it can unfold in my outer life.

I am gaining a greater appreciation now that I really ought not to try so hard to correct things in the outer world; that I ought first to seek to make the change inside me and then allow that change to unfold in the outer world experience. I get this now and I make that commitment more and more that if I wish something to show up in my outer life that I must first plant the seeds of that inside my consciousness. I get that.

But right now, Beloved I Am, I’m really interested in this phrase that Akasha is using, ‘Come forth Beloved I Am and UNLEASH Thy Power and INTERPRET, TRANSLATE your Perfection through my consciousness.’ Beloved I Am, let’s explore this idea.

I know that I am conscious. I am aware that I have a consciousness. I have a facility, a faculty of consciousness that I can use and I know that I use that every day, yet, I have not really allowed that consciousness to go too far and within my consciousness are many things. Within my consciousness is all my thinking, my feeling, every belief that has come my way, everything my sight has ever registered. I understand that even within my consciousness is intellect. I understand through the studies that the intellect can be likened to a library. It is the great storehouse of all information that has come to me through my faculties. What I have seen, what I have read, what I have heard – all that has come to me through the sense faculties of the experience side of life is what stores itself in the intellect and becomes the vast library as a reference point if there is something that I wish to go into that library and refer to for something that is a future decision. So I understand that this is part of my consciousness – intellect.

Now, Beloved I AM, I heard years ago a dictation from Akasha on the Holy Spirit vs. the ego and I understand that these are two activities of consciousness as well. And today, Beloved Presence, I’m going to approach this in the following way. The ego is likened to the male energy and the Holy Spirit is likened to the female energy – Light and Love. I understand, that because of the ‘fall from grace’, that the Holy Spirit, the Love of consciousness, has not been plentiful within my consciousness. Without the Love, without that Spirit, the male energy, the ego is thrown out of balance, thus the term, ‘altered ego’. In my awakening, in my choice for peace, in my remembering to live from the heart and all these wonderful goodies, I trust Beloved Presence, that these wonderful faculties you gave me are now not altered; that the ego is back in balance and the door into my consciousness is open and the Holy Spirit is releasing itself into.

So, Beloved I AM, let me see if I have this right. The role of the ego is to file all data that comes to me from the outer world through the senses – sense of sight, touch, hearing etc. I understand that this is the true role of the ego that all that comes to me through the senses, that you store this in the intellect aspect of consciousness.

Now, what I’m really interested in, Beloved I AM, because I understand for the most part my ego is back into a balanced state and this is a good thing. So as I seek to comprehend this phrase that Akasha says to us these days and I’m realizing there’s a number of other things I must understand first. The phrase that I’m seeking to really comprehend, Beloved I Am, again, is this phrase Akasha asks us to greet you.

“Beloved I AM, you are awake and active within me and I am calling upon you to UNLEASH your Power and Perfection, TRANSLATE, INTERPRET your Perfection through my consciousness.” This is what I am truly interested in interpreting.

So as I continue to write my daily letters to you I am trusting that I am gaining a deeper conversation with you and opening the way for an amazing epiphany and so I have been rethinking and remembering what the intellect – it’s the great storehouse that the ego in its balanced state is to store in the intellect all that is coming through the faculties of sense. I’ve got that right. So what is the next thing perhaps Beloved Presence that I might desire to remember. Aahh yes, the role of the Holy Spirit in consciousness vs. the role of ego. I’ve reviewed the role of the ego in a balanced state so what is the role of the Holy Spirit? (deep breath) I will just pause on this for a moment . .

Love Lost?

Love Lost?
Love lost is never so,
it’s merely redirected.
Passion’s wings can rise again,
with flight of love effected.

Love’s perfection removes fear,
the imperfection shows connection
to some endearing spirit, albeit
lacking variable, minus equation

The memories of love felt as such
are ever catalyst for
the sending of sweet energy
on loves lost, altered course.

Peace for memories of the past
let the peaceful memories last
with grace allowing for
the present open door.

What If We Told Our Little Girls This?

What if we told our little girls this?

It’s ok to touch yourself
Anywhere
Whenever
If you want to
If it makes you feel good
If you get wet that’s okay
If you don’t that’s okay too
Just wash your hands before
Just like you do before you eat
Prepare
Treat your body like a temple
Every time you do anything with your body it is sacred
When you are older enjoy your body as much as you can
Feeling good is ok
Share your body whenever you want to
When you don’t feel like sharing, that’s ok too
There will be times when you don’t feel like loving your own body
There will be times when you want to love yourself several times a day
If you share your intimate moments with others they may feel closer to you
Or they may not
Not everyone learns what I am teaching you
But my concern is you
The most important thing is to love yourself
When you love yourself so much you will reach a point
That you don’t need anyone else
You will feel that full and that complete
Then you will overflow
Then you can’t do anything but share your love
It will exude from your very pores
People will tell you they feel something special about your energy
Your ego will like hearing it
But your heart will be so full of love that your ego will shrink
You will begin to see love everywhere
You will begin to see love in all things
So far no one has found a limit on how much love there is
When your physical body is ready to die
Your love lives on
Your special energy to be shared for eternity
So when you touch yourself remember
It’s perfectly ok.

She is a Goddess

A goddess is a woman who emerges from deep within herself. She is a woman who has honestly explored her darkness and learned to celebrate her light.
